A fun photo for a rainy beginning of the week. Taken with a long lens, I was standing about a block away! Also, don’t forget to check out the new Iconic DC page under Portfolio in the menu.
Dear Blog Followers,
I, along with my wonderful techie Jeff, have just opened a new page on the Portfolio page of the website, entitled Iconic DC. Please navigate to the that page and enjoy photographs of our nation’s capital. And remember, I’ve got many other images, available in sizes 8×10″ up to 30×40″.
I went out shooting with a couple of my photography buddies and we spent the evening working on silhouettes. I find I learn more from my fellow photographers than from any class. And as a teacher I once had, many many years ago, famously said “How do you get to Carnegie Hall? Practice, practice, practice”. (Actually he said by subway, but that’s a story for another day.)
This shot was taken from the Staten Island Ferry as the sun was going down behind the Statue of Liberty. Thank you Michelle and Lourdes!
