New Changing Exhibition

A friend and I got tickets to see the 9/11 Memorial at Ground Zero months in advance of its opening.  Our assigned day in mid-October dawned overcast with low hanging rain clouds.  I was sure that I wouldn’t get any good photos from the shoot.  To my surprise and delight, the weather added dramatically to the sense of sadness, history, and future that one gets visiting the Memorial site.  Please click on Changing Exhibition on the top tool bar to see the show.  Remember you can see the photo titles by moving your cursor over the image.  And you can enlarge them by clicking on them once they’re open. Do let me know what you think by going to comments below this blog entry.

Wow, the weather really did compliment the environment of these photos. I love the intensity of the close up words against the slate backdrop of the water and the building reflections. Wonderful work!

The photographs are amazing and so moving. One after the other, they march by as I click on them, each one reminding me that this is a solemn place of reflection, like the reflection on the buildings or the reflections on the water. A hard place to visit but you have captured its esssence in your images so well.

The clear reflections on the stone buildings signify to me, the reason people go to the memorial: To Reflect. You captured this effect magnificently. They are all wonderful, but my favorite is of the trees in a row with the vantage point effect.
