So glad we have public art in NYC and glad you have captured it here. It makes us keep our eyes open to see what’s just around the corner!
What a great shot! Warhol is perfectly placed between the 2 buildings, with his silvery curves contrasting their geometries. And the bit of greenery below presents a touch of nature amid the urban grid.
I like it! Galvanized Andy Warhol – feet planted on the ground and head in the clouds. A giant among the masses,yet carrying a shopping bag. And it all happens on Broadway (way to sneak the street sign into the photograph). Well done again, Ellen!
I love him in contrast with the large plant – he’s still tremendous! Very interesting shot.
Thanks Simone. What you don’t see from this perspective is that the sculpture is actually pretty small – smaller than life size. I took the shot from the ground to give him the stature that you see here. Thanks again for being part of my “fan club”, much appreciated. Ellen
