A Day’s Shoot – New Changing Exhibition

Monday, January 9th, 2012

One day in the life of this photographer.

From the railroad station on the Hudson River line (the image included here, Station Reflections)

to a beautiful, classic, but tired and soon to be restored, Untermyer Park, to a full moon at the beach.  Please see the Changing Exhibition page http://www.ellengoodmanphotography.com/changing-exhibition

Did a shoot in Hoboken and Jersey City.  Expected to see great views of NYC.  Didn’t expect to see this Korean War Monument.

SantaCon New York 2011

Monday, December 12th, 2011

OK, so I get the idea of an entire day of Santas roaming the city.  But pink bunny rabbits?

World’s Fair

Monday, December 5th, 2011

I visited the old World’s Fair Grounds for the first time since I was a little girl.  It was very moving and a little sad to be there after so many years and to remember the awe inpsiring pavilions and exhibits of yesteryear.

Watching the Parade

Sunday, November 27th, 2011

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.  I had a wonderful view of the parade from the roof of a building on the route, safely behind a waist high ledge.  These people were literally standing at the parapet.

 Here’s what they’re watching!

I’ve got many other great shots of the parade.  Let me know if you’d like to see more by commenting below.

New Changing Exhibition

Monday, November 7th, 2011

A friend and I got tickets to see the 9/11 Memorial at Ground Zero months in advance of its opening.  Our assigned day in mid-October dawned overcast with low hanging rain clouds.  I was sure that I wouldn’t get any good photos from the shoot.  To my surprise and delight, the weather added dramatically to the sense of sadness, history, and future that one gets visiting the Memorial site.  Please click on Changing Exhibition on the top tool bar to see the show.  Remember you can see the photo titles by moving your cursor over the image.  And you can enlarge them by clicking on them once they’re open. Do let me know what you think by going to comments below this blog entry.
