Watching the Parade

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.  I had a wonderful view of the parade from the roof of a building on the route, safely behind a waist high ledge.  These people were literally standing at the parapet.

 Here’s what they’re watching!

I’ve got many other great shots of the parade.  Let me know if you’d like to see more by commenting below.

Love the smurf shot! He looks right at home against those buildings…

I love these, and I’d love to see more. Floats are so neat, so much work goes into them! Hope you all enjoyed the holiday!

  3. Simone says:

Love the vertical line of windows with the horizontal line of people. Nicely done!

  4. Bernice says:

These are really fun shots. I particularly like the figures silhouetted against the building, but the smurf against the building is wonderful too!

  5. Dana says:

I love the silhouettes of the people on the roof juxtaposed to the woman in white who is nearly hidden in the white of the window.

  6. Evan says:

Love the silhouette photo! I agree with Dana that the lady in white in the window opening contrasts so well with the silhouetted figures on the ledge. Pairing them with a giant blue Smurf looking down on the crowds of tiny people makes this the perfect Thanksgiving Parade experience!

  7. Allie says:

I absolutely love the silhouette shot. The people are poised in such an interesting way, almost like a dance. And the backdrop of the building is beautifully textured and lit. Great job!

This could be the basis of a great abstract painting. Thanks to other bloggers, I see the woman in white!
