After spending the day with my family, my irises being in bloom in time for Mother’s Day is one of my favorite things! Come rain or shine…

I stood in this spot in 2010 to photograph the sign and the city beyond. http://www.ellengoodmanphotography.com/new-york-color/nggallery/image/3214. It was a construction site then; now it’s a waterfront park and residential towers and it’s impossible to get the same shot. I do love documenting my ever changing city.
