I took this photo at the Veteran’s Day Parade eight years ago. Always one of my favorites, most especially because the man in the jeep, front left, reminds me of my uncle. Most of those who served in WWII, including my father, father-in-law, and uncles, are gone now. Today we honor their service to our country.
I was busy taking fall photographs of my favorite bridge in Central Park when this beautiful little girl, all dressed up in her Sunday best and chattering away in French, kept getting in the way. Her mother was trying to get her to stop long enough for a cell photo. In the end, I got a wonderful shot, don’t know how her mother did. Merci Celine!
