I agree that this is a haunting, arresting image. There’s a sad, expecting beauty in it, a kind that’s questioning what will happen to the city in the storm.
What stands out the most to me, though, is that we can see the street and the lines made by long-gone traffic. Though the snow is disturbed in these areas, it looks as if it will soon fade and become a fresh canvas again. Then, only the geometry from the buildings will remain.

I’m struck by the colors of the lights and the reflections on the snowy streets, which turn an iconic view into something etherial and lovely.
It was eerily beautiful.
