Great catch of a NYC gem
There’s something about this photograph that reminds me of Edward Hopper’s “Nighthawks” painting. Dark areas, and then the color of the water tower. I like it!
Wow! That blue sparkling design is so unexpected in the dark landscape.
Is the water tower illuminated from within? It’s looks like stained glass in a reverently darkened church. The composition of horizontal and vertical lighted lines and shapes are brilliant against the dark background.
Gorgeous! I love how you manage to capture the true hidden gems of NYC.
I just passed by this scene the other day–you capture it perfectly!
Another great shot from Ellen! I really like the contrast between the colorful and delicate artsy light fixture atop the square and colorless buildings.
