We interrupt the trip to Paris to bring you this springtime special. My irises waited for my return and literally bloomed in an overnight rain.

Winter was not that long ago, that a picture like this still hits the spot! Gotta love Spring in all it’s glory!
Gorgeous! I love the abstract-ness of the petal wrinkles, curves, and water drops. Monet would be proud 🙂
Spring came late (or segued right into summer) this year, but the glorious blossoms have been worth the wait. This royal purple fleur de lys sparkling with diamond-like raindrops would even have delighted Louis XIV. Lovely closeup of a lovely bloom.
What a refreshing and graceful image for such a warm day! It’s so nice to be able to appreciate spring in all of its glory even after the blooms have gone. I love the depth of this photo, as well- we really get to study the petals and droplets, making us retain some of that spring-like feeling for a bit longer.
Just lovely,especially the rain drops.
There’s something new and fresh about this close up and personal photograph, Ellen. I can almost reach out and feel the velvety smooth petals. Well done!
