A fiddler on the bridge? Nice treat for the senses!

What’s so funny is I didn’t see your caption until after I posted. Great minds think alike!

Be it Vivaldi’s Four Seasons- Autumn, an Irish Jig, or truly Broadway’s “A Fiddler on the Roof”, what better way to express the joy of this time and place!

    Beautiful! Only in NewYork…well, maybe.

  5. Bruce says:

Great shot, Ellen! Don’t see that every day. I wondered why he was standing on the Gapstow Bridge, and not the Bow Bridge! Beautiful, rich image…

  6. Simone says:

Spectacular photo! The colors are incredible and there’s something Monet about this shot (the bridge? the foliage?) Beautiful.

  7. Karen says:

Wow! That’s one of the most beautiful shots of the park in autumn I’ve ever seen.

  8. Anne says:

Oh, how beautiful. The photo is filled with the lovely textures and colors of the trees and bridge.

  9. Anne says:

Oh my goodness! I just noticed the fiddler! Unbelievable!

  10. Bernice says:

The burnished autumn colors are a lovely contrast to the stone bridge. And of course, the fiddler is an amazing and astonishing feature on the bridge. What was he playing?

  11. Beverly says:

Would make a perfect oil painting as well. Couldn’t help but smile as I watched the fiddler standing there….

  12. Carole says:

Autumn in New York….doesn’t get better than that. You captured it!

What an interesting shot of autumn in the city! Of course, it perfectly captures the busking tradition typically seen in the subway stations, but here, you’ve taken a shot of this musician in a more beautiful setting. He seems so focused on the music, with his head down, so peaceful above the water.

How serene, Ellen. Another great image!
