The end of the sumer, the end of the pier, but it looks like the beginning of this couple’s relationship. May it last……………….!

  2. Anne says:

The couple is lingering as is the summer. Wonderful summer colors.

For some reason this reminds me of a photo-realist image – I’m not sure whether that is good or bad! It could be Richard Estes capturing a moment, or even Cindy Sherman doing whatever it is that Cindy Sherman does…

  4. Karen says:

You’ve perfectly captured the colors of the Atlantic shore.

  5. Jan says:

The wearing of the whites for the last time in 2014. The young lady looks as if she is pondering what will be up ahead, and etching the last unofficial days of summer at the shore in her brain. Perhaps to recall one dark and cold winter’s day.

  6. Bernice says:

What an idyllic couple in an idyllic setting for summer. The end of the pier, perhaps, but hopefully not the end of their relationship. The perspective, shadows and colors are wonderful.

  7. Arlene says:

An interesting glimpse of peoples’ lives – perhaps not as serene as it may at first blush seem – possible ‘trouble in paradise’ – or just a part of life

  8. Rae says:

The lines and geometry in the architecture of this photo really emphasize the forms the couple in white are creating with their own bodies. Dynamic diagonals in the shadows and staunch angles in the roof create a really attention-grabbing image!

  9. Simone says:

I LOVE this study in blue and white! Incredible lines – from their bodies to the walkway and the hut. Well done.

  10. Bruce says:

Sunday in the Park With George, or Sunday on the Pier With Bicycle? This photo is so reminiscent of people on the Grande Jatte. Well done, Ellen!

  11. Jacqueline says:

This evocative photo makes me want to ask many questions: What are they talking about? What is she looking at? What is in the bag? Nice!
