Finch Hollow Nature Preserve

I was in Binghamton for a family event and hiked through this beautiful nature preserve.  There was one scenic vista after another (see Nature, Summer Landscape).  What moved me were the natural elements, left in place, so that even a dying tree became a visual marvel.

The angle of the tree, especially the branch, draws your eye in to the beautiful reflections on the pond. Really like the Summer Landscape photo as well. The depth of the shot is so crisp, with every detail, even in the background, coming across clearly. Nice work Ellen!

Both photos have the architectural definition of space that seems to me characteristic of your best work in the city or the country.

Thanks for a lovely walk through the nature preserve and the lushness of an East coast August day.
