Whoa, Ellen, this is so lovely! So very different. I like the movement within the stillness – the swirls of the rose, the ornate curves of the bottle, and the almost lace of the cameo. Well done!
What a beautiful arrangement of items that, to me, seem like they wouldn’t belong together, yet make such a lovely picture. It evokes a feeling of yesteryear.
The rose seems to be floating over the swirling textile–how is it supported at that angle–and the bottle and cameo resting on the textile. Almost flat like an early modern painting. Wow.
A group of classic objects, all set on a swirling patterned cloth, evokes a turn-of-the-century feel. Well done, Ellen!
Lovely colors, lovely placement (especially the cameo with the gold frame against the blue and gold) makes you think of calmer and more cheerful days.
This still life seems most unusual for you, but the arrangement is quite striking. The red red rose and red red bottle base draw the eye back in depth, yet the fabric and cameo recall the flatness of Cezanne’s tabletops.
This is gorgeous! A result of years of studying the masters! And just what is needed in a drab winter.
“A touch of color in the middle of this gray and white winter”. That’s Valentine’s Day! Your photo set the mood!
This is an absolutely beautiful still life. Unusual setup for photography!
Love this homage to loves past. Beautiful arrangement and the sentiment is lovely. 🙂
