Interesting photo this week Ellen! My eye immediately went from the reflections in the water, to the rubber ribbing on the pole at the right. Just realized that the boat says “Pt. Pleasant” (hence, reflections!).
This makes me ache for summer. You embodied the stillness and chaos of a port in a single shot. The lines are beautiful and the choice to include the thread in the foreground makes me think of the work of the Photo League that included the likes of Strand and Steiglitz. Love this!
Sorry I didn’t get to this yesterday. It’s a gorgeous black and white with a wonderful composition of diagonal lines and superior 3-dimensionality. And it looks more like summer than winter!

I love the lines and reflections in this shot. Beautiful!

So peaceful. You are right; “Pleasant Reflections” are the “Point”!

Another great Goodman reflection.
