Love the diversity of clouds and colors, and the perspective!

  2. Emily says:

    Perfect end of summer shot

  3. Thom says:

Reminds me of a Richard Estes painting. Love the large-scale format

Thank you Thom. I love his work, but think of him as a city painter. I am delighted to see his “big sky” seascapes.

I’ve heard of different types of crowds
But this is a great example
    of different types of clouds!

  6. Simone says:

Beautiful – those clouds look painted in!

  7. Carolyn says:

Wonderful end of summer beach photo with a remarkable cloud filled sky. I have seen cirrocumulus clouds. But to capture a sky with lots of cirrus clouds and and lots of cumulus clouds separately at the same time is really awesome. Kudos!

Thanks Carolyn. I’m no expert on cloud varieties, but I do know when something is beautiful!

  9. Bruce says:

What a majestic photograph, Ellen! The whispy and puffy clouds against the expansive blue sky make me hover above the dots of bright colors on the beach below. Well done!

  10. Jacqueline says:

Fantastic! It seems we can see “both sides now” in these layers of clouds.

That’s summer at the Jersey Shore but enhanced by the display of lofty clouds. Good job
