Thanks Simone. What amazed me was that the construction workers were actually putting up a menorah on the building under construction. I’ve never seen that before!
What a great photo, Ellen! I love the juxtaposition of the building’s horizontal and vertical lines with the diagonals of the menorah branches. I don’t think I have ever seen the two together. Well done!
Fascinating. This reminds me of the optical illusion where you’re presented with a sketch and you have to decide whether you’re looking at a beautiful young woman or an old hag. You brain just keeps oscillating between one vision and the other. Your composition creates the same type of dynamic tension back and forth between the menorah and the beam structure of the building under construction. Not many photos can turn your brain inside out and back again like this. Your work always offers my brain an adventure!
Happy Chanukah! Peace in the New Year.
Wow, what a great shot – love the lines of architecture plus the menorah. You have the best eye! Happy Chanukah!

Amazing to see the menorah
Under the construction site.
Almost all looks complete.
Just bring on the light!
The Chanukah Menorah in all its beauty, even without its lights, stands out from the construction behind it. Wonderful photo.
Happy, Healthy, Peaceful Chanukah!
Jim’s comment, “Boy, she has an incredible eye!”
Wow, Karen, thank you. And thank Jim. I am honored!

What a challenging puzzle this photo would make!!
Rebecca, how very true. Happy New Year!
Yes, you have an incredible eye! Happy last-day-of-Chanukah!
Love the shades of light and the linear diversity in this photo!
