Sweet! I love the swirls of the water and the perfect little ducks. Here’s a poem for you by Odgen Nash called “The Duck”:
Behold the duck.
It does not cluck.
A cluck it lacks.
It quacks.
It is specially fond
Of a puddle or pond.
When it dines or sups,
It bottoms ups.
I love this photograph of the ducks so peacefully swimming in the sparkling water. It is relaxing just looking at the photo. Wonderful capture as usual.
This image could be such a watercolor! The surface is almost textured with the movement of the water, and the colors on the ducks’ backs. Just lovely.
The movement of the murky water shimmering in the sun and the ducks enjoying their swim, makes this such a beautiful photo. Well done.

(Above) A great poetry splash
By Ogden Nash
The close up observation couldn’t be better
Any closer, and he’d have become even wetter!!!
Thank you Jacqueline for the Ogden Nash poem. How perfectly perfect 🙂
And thank you Bevy for your poem reflecting (get it??) on the Nash poem.
I love that my work inspires art!
Such a wonderful photograph, Ellen! You caught the movement in the water and it brings the swimming ducks to life. Well done!
What a sweet photo! Love that you captured the ripples in the pond.
