A remarkable take – entirely new – on an iconic theme. Even now it’s painful to remember 9/11 – thank you for memorializing it so clearly.

Great photo, Ellen. If I can read into it, the flag image is backwards and the vertical lines almost feel like they are restricting the flag. On this sad day, while remembering the solemness of the event, we are also reminded of how we were held hostage for a short while before rising above. Well done.

    So many years ago already,
    But feels like yesterday too.
    Fitting to drape our hearts
With the red, white and blue….

Interesting photo of our flag. So glad to see that you honored 9/11. Let us always remember.

It’s hard to believe that 22 years have passed–and that people are still dying from 9/11 – related illnesses. Yes, we must always remember.

Wow, this is a powerful and unusual take! The extra lines (fence?) crossed with the lines of a flag make it look like the symbol of our liberty, our history, and who we are is being restricted somehow. Beautiful and meaningful choice for today.

Ellen, that photo hits you right in the heart. America’s complacency was shattered that day. Our precious flag and all it stands for, looks like it’s in pieces too. Bless all the people that died and suffered from the tragic events and aftermath of 9/11. How I wish we were as united now as we were then; our freedom depends upon it.
