Two paths diverged on a snowy beach…

Before I looked at the title, the same thought came to mind! Someone making his own path in the world. Truly feels frigid.

    Great winter beach shot.

Braving the cold, to be on the beach. Great shot, Ellen!

This bleak winter shot of the beach captures a rather desolate mood on a cold, wintry day. The woman’s shadow, as she trudges along, adds a third and diverging path to the composition.

Wow! This is so cinematic and painterly. Great compostion. 🙂

Ellen – your thought-provoking photo reminds me of a photo of a war-torn region, or perhaps a Shtetl. It has that bleak but driven quality we look for in truly memorable images.

Hi Ellen! Very interesting photograph – I see a young boy striking out on his own across a bleak, cold landscape, not taking the easy path already made by others. Well done.

Robert Frost would be proud. She took the other, just as fair. And a great shot 🙂

I’ve so enjoyed everyone’s response to this photo. It was taken on the beach after a light dusting of snow, during a charity “plunge”. This was a young boy wearing a robe over his bathing suit in 20 degree weather, heading towards his quick dip in the ocean. There must have been about a hundred other people on the beach but I followed him because he was heading away from the crowd.
