“Teach a falcon to fish…” is the first thing that came to mind when I saw this, Ellen! Your photograph is the perfect image of nature in the wild. Well done!
You always seem to be in the right place at the right time. Great title for this pic too. I hope you’re going to be catching some shots of all the smoke from Canada and how it is affecting NYC. It’s bad here too but I don’t know how to capture it as well as I know you will. It’s very frustrating.
Thanks Cheryl. The key is to never, ever leave home without your camera, haha! Yes, I’ve gotten some shots of the orange tinted city but it’s too upsetting to put on the blog, which I see as an optimistic, beautiful place for my photos. I’ll be happy to email photos of the smoke filled city to anyone who asks. What I can’t send you is the overwhelming smell that pervades the air. Remember Smell-o-vision?
What an amazing capture!! There’s also something wonderfully minimalist and linear about the image.
Wow that’s what I call capturing a shoot!
Great shot of an awesome catch! Dinner!
It’s amazing how you got this action shot so crisp and clear! And your timing to catch this is just incredible.

Another beautiful photograph worthy of National Geographic! It is amazing how you are able to capture wonderful candid nature shots.
WOW, awesome shot! Can’t believe you captured this! That eagle eye of yours 🙂
What can I add to all these comments? It’s an incredible photo! I would think it was photoshopped if I didn’t know how good you are.
Thank you everyone. No photoshopping done, just a lucky moment in time!
