WOW, awesome composition and what a cool juxtaposition!!! The statue feels almost as tall as the Empire State Building! And the building seems to split the two halves of the photo int a diptych. Love this photo.
What a cleverly framed photo, Ellen! My eye immediately focuses on the brightly lit Empire State Building and then, all of a sudden, travels to the darker area in the image to discover the swimmer statue, who could be doing a handstand on a diving board before a dive or could be in a full on dive. Well done!
Interesting photo. Statue of a person diving in New York City. Makes one wonder why this statue is there. Only Ellen can make this photo work. Great capture as usual.
Love the absolute verticality of the picture. Beautifully framed!
Thinking Tall.
Then, Standing Tall
The human spirit
Is boundless….
What a great framing

It takes a true artist to create this image. I especially enjoy how you incorporated the gem in the dark foreground shadows.
I agree with others’ comments–this is a striking composition and perspective!
