Moonrise Over the East River

Driving on the FDR, saw a huge full moon rising. Pulled over as soon as possible. No tripod; had to use a railing to steady the camera. Got the shot. Grateful.

    Beautiful photo! The lights and the moon shining with its reflection in the water make it look like the city and bridge are decked out for a party. The contrast of it all against the black sky is exquisite.
