Someone once took a picture of me and my visiting friends from England in a similar situation, and I have always kept my eye out for that picture (this was maybe 7 or so years ago). I have yet to see it, but it’d be funny if these people eventually stumbled upon this blog.
How festive! Really captures the seasonal juxtaposition of cheer and consumerism. Nice shot!

Great shot, Ellen! It’s a slice of life at Christmas – each person in the window having his or her own story to tell – all sharing a common view.
This is a perfect, daytime, upbeat, holiday homage to Edward Hopper’s Nighthawks.
Really interesting photo… Maybe Lord & Taylor would want to do one of their holiday windows with mannequins waiting in line for holiday treats in a bakery – it’s a great theme! I love it!
