    Autumn Symphony indeed!
    The trunk is the theme
The golden leafed pallet is the harmony in-between.

What a strange, eerie and fascinating image, that draws the eye in and confuses it. Great!

Autumn symphony is so befitting this photo. It all works together to create this harmony of images so different yet cohesive at the same time. From the sturdy and twisted knotty tree trunk to the delicate leaves, and add in the reflections on the water and you have created a spectacular image of textural depth.

Awesome photo, Ellen! That amazing twisted tree trunk is definitely the conductor of this symphony of color and motion. Well done!

WOW! My first thought was: this reminds me of a pointillistic painting. Seurat, maybe? I literally leaned into the image like I was looking for tiny dots and lines. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this.

    Gorgeous! Looks like a painting.

Thanks Bruce. I had just seen Hirschfeld’s image of Leonard Bernstein conducting (https://www.facebook.com/LeonardBernstein/photos/a.10150211953950285/10163282592055285/?type=3) and the branches of this tree reminded me of the intense motions of a conductor and hence the title symphony!

    Framing, light, color….perfection

  9. Jacqueline says:

What an exciting photo, full of movement and beauty! I can see the resemblance to the Hirschfeld image–and I can almost hear the music!

  10. Carole says:

What a wonderful photo. Movement in nature. Swirling water and rustling leaves surrounding the majestic twisting tree.

  11. Carolyn says:

The tree trunk and branches definitely look like a conductor conducting his symphony orchestra.
Maybe Mantovani and his orchestra playing Autumn Leaves.
I love art that tells a story. You are wonderful at capturing that.
