There’s nothing so lovely as a flower right after the rain stops and the sun comes out. I’m working on a new series of these photos. Let me know if you like them.

Like Georgia O’Keefe’s work, changing the perspective completely changes our understanding of the object. Extremely beautiful, and open to so manhy interpretations!
I love that single rain drop on the petal and the shade pattern from the sun, but what strikes me the most, Ellen, is the intricqte detail you have captured along with the vibrant shades of orange. Well done!
Well this is stunning! I audibly “oohed” at it! You won me over with the texture of the petals and the shadows being csst on them – and of course the raindrop. Excellent!

You captured the beauty of nature. Keep the flowers coming! Just beautiful.
Magnificent!
I agree–keep them coming! It’s wonderful to be so ‘up close and personal’ with a flower. And I love the color!
A flower
A shower
Followed by the sun’s warmth to brighten the hour…
The flower is so beautiful and so beautifully captured by you. It is such a wonderful photo.
Outstanding!!!!
Do I sense a resurgence of
