WOW, this is a stunning photo! I love the burst of the setting sun and the texture of the clouds, as well as the strength of the lighthouse. Thanks for always sharing beauty with us.
Given these challenging times, one could see this photo’s tumultuous clouds and ray-gun sun as a sign of the apocalypse. Let’s not go there, and let’s just appreciate the beauty of a setting sun and a cloud-swept sky against which a lighthouse and cozy home are silhouetted.
Bernice, to me this photo captures the beauty and awe of the world – the sun’s brilliant rays cutting through the clouds, reflecting in the light station building.
A perfect ray of hope during these troubled times. Everyone be safe and keep well.
Lovely sundown shot, balanced, nuanced and textured. Beautiful!

So serene.
A magnificent shot, Ellen. I love how the sun is shining on the front of the house, along with so many other beautiful images captured in this photo.
I agree with all the comments–thanks for sending this ‘ray of hope’!
What a powerful and dramatic photograph, Ellen! Great perspective and love those rays of the sun. Well done!
