Keith Haring at his finest and Ellen Goodman is there! The color and scale of this is amazing. I like the reflection of the yellow figure in the red figure, the sun catching the feet, and the casual, almost colorless stance of the two real people as contrasted with the purposeful in-motion Haring figures. And so many potential titles – “Stepping Out Into Traffic,” and “Best Feet Forward” come to mind. Well done.

The red & yellow kick line is such a funny contrast to the flabby office workers. A happy, energetic jolt to the drone of commerce.
In theory: primary colors, purposely marching forward! In reality: shades of blue/gray just hangin’ out and waitin’ for.. whatever……
I love the contrast between the vibrant statue figures and the uninspired office folk. If only life could always be as colorful as a Haring statue!
The energy in the statues just jumped out at me, makes me feel like dancing!
I had a bumper sticker with one figure from the early 70’s and it read “Keep on truckin”. I wonder if that was the artist’s inspiration.
He very possibly was influenced by that image. Here’s a link to a short bio about Keith Haring and his work: http://www.haring.com/about_haring/bio/index.html
I love it! The sculpture is colorful and playful! Good job, Ellen! You see the most unusual things.
