Cool shot! I love the architectural feel of this – especially the lines and shapes that lead the eye to the center. I didn’t notice the Freedom Tower at first, but a great surprise once I did. Well done!
This was taken with a long lens from Long Island City. I love the industrial feel of the gantry, and I too was surprised when I realized I could see the new 1 World Trade through it.
The designer of the GWB probably played with an erector set. Great photo from a different perspective. The World Trade Center in the background is a bonus!
What an interesting photo Ellen! I love the mechanical feel of “Erector Set” and the Trade Center looming in the distance. Well done as usual!
This is a fascinating photo–it reminds me of the great arches but in a futuristic way.
It looks like a drawbridge to me, but the erector set allusion is very apt.
