I may be reading into this, but 100 years from now students studying this photograph will say that it represents the real world and the dream world as “seen” by the sleeping doorman. To the left, crystal clear reality in a street scene. In the window to the right – his blurred dreamlike state. How perceptive of you to catch this all!
I like seeing the reflection of someone in the glass who we don’t actually see on the street. The yellow of his backpack parallels the yellow of the school bus. And the verticality of the architecture puntuated by the horizontal art deco details. Good composition as well as the interesting subject matter.
It almost looks like he’s holding up the building! A metaphor 🙂 Is he sleeping, I can’t tell.

His eyes were definitely closed, that much I can vouch for!
Nice composition. Lucky man if he is asleep. I have a hard time getting to sleep when I go to bed!
I guess when you’re that solid you don’t need to be too awake: Who would mess around with him?!
