There’s a very interesting public art show on Park Avenue from 51st through 67th Street. Surprisingly, these sculptures are made of thin flat pieces of steel. Here’s one of them.

Wow, what a cool piece of art. It almost looks like it was just some random graphic that was photoshopped into a random space. Great shot!
That looks fake!! Very cool though, I’d love to see it in person.
Great shot, suggesting the depth and volume of the piece. Having seen them on Park Ave., also, I was taken aback when I got up close and realized they were actually flat. You captured it well!
Like Central Park’s “The Gates” from a few years ago, it’s just fun to see!
Yes please, I would love to see more of the artists illusionary work.
Really cool illusion. I think I will have to try to see it in person!
Mind-boggling! Throws perception all out of whack, it makes for a fantastic photograph.
Delightful optical puzzle. Hard to tell what is sculpture and what is building. The middle ground seems to wrap around the brick tower as if the building was distorted. Lovely work.
Once again, you have captured the unusual in a unique way. The sculpture is fascinating, but combined with your composition, it becomes an intellectual conundrum. I love all the surface contrasts as well as the tromp l’oeil 3-D superimposed on the real 3-D .
Great manipulation of your environment here! You’ve made it all come together in a great way and without photoshop. Bravo!
Simply awesome!!
