FABULOUS SHOT! I love the perspective of it all – how the people and the city buildings look smaller (even similar-sized) from Ellen up on High 🙂 Also really liking the layered feel of a people-scape in parallel almost to the cityscape. Well done!
This is looking down from the Top of the Rock. Best view in NYC as far as I’m concerned. See my Iconic NY Color page in Portfolio (top menu) for the view in 2009, Empire State Silhouette.
I hadn’t noticed that element Bernice but in enlarging the image I see what you’re talking about. It looks like a roof that’s highlighted by the sun, surrounded by crenelations on the edges which make it appear to be a menorah. Definitely not a menorah, but a good observation!
Beautiful, sparkly photo overlooking the people overlooking the view of the overlook!
A small slice of the big city! Very nice contrast.
Interesting perspective and very much of today as you can see many people taking selfies and not even looking directly at the magnificent view.
Great perspective, Ellen! I think my favorite part is the sparkle on the observation deck binoculars.
What a great bird’s-eye view!

Fabulous angles of New York, last week and this.
Love this! Is it a view from inside of The Chrysler Building?

Very nice!
Today’s blog shot is outstanding!!!!
Great angle & great view. You’ve opened up the space and created a sense of distance. Is that a menorah I spot on the roof in the about halfway back?

“Overlook” and “Coming to America” should hang in the same room. Great triangulation.
