Looks just like one of his paintings. The light coming through those old panes is magical. (Hello from VA!)
A good example of Andrew Wythe’s depicting life with poignant detail. His light through the window is much like your camera lens. It must have been an interesting visit to Chadds Ford, PA.
What an interesting photograph, Ellen. I took a look at some Wyeth paintings after seeing your blog entry and the raw, dark colors of this photograph surely echo the paints on his palette. Well done!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE feeling like we’re living in a painting here! I had to google the artist to see the original, but it was so great seeing your photographic take on a subject of Wyeth’s.
Thanks. I was amazed and delighted that the scene was still intact.
It’s hard to tell whether this is a Wyeth painting or a photo that you took inside the Wyeth home and studio. Whichever! I love it!
