2 different worlds caught in your reflection photo. The cold stark building robs the viewer of the potential serenity.
So much to see and “reflect” on in this photograph. A great shot!
A beautiful juxtaposition of the natural and the man-made. Yesterday I saw amazing lily pads at Untermyer Gardens in Yonkers–definitely worth a visit!
Thank you Jacqueline. I’ve done many a shoot at Untermyer Gardens. One of my favorite treasure places! In fact, I did a Changing Exhibition there in 2012.
Such beautiful shots of a soothing subject. I especially love Purple Veins and Deep in Thought, and the reflection in the shot above is perfection. Thanks for reminding us of the peace that exists in this city of hustle and bustle!
Beautiful shot! I love the lone purple flower amidst the lily pads and the reflection of the building – a perfect juxtaposition of the natural and the industrial.
More reflections by the very talented Ellen Goodman. This is so interesting due to contrasting reflections of building and plants.
Composition amazing, as usual Ellen! The crisp lily pad images are set perfectly against the reflected house. I hope your fans take the time to visit the changing exhibition to see more through your lens. Garden Pinwheel, Make a Wish and especially Bird Bath are feasts for the eyes! Well done.
Captivating! Almost like a little purple umbrella is hovering over, as protection to the lily pads from the big scary building.
I only now had the chance to look at the Changing Exhibition. Thank you so much for dedicating that beautiful floral page to me! That was really sweet, and the shots are gorgeous. I will have to choose one to paint for my next canvas.
