I love the contrast between fresh green of spring and the red of her sweater bathed in the afternoon sun. It quietly whispers – peace.

What a peaceful and contemplative photo, Ellen! I want to walk into it and sit down under the shade of one of those trees. Well done.

I want to be there right now!!

Love the shadows cast by the row of trees on the grass! The intersecting lines are interesting with the perfect line of trees above them. It’s beautiful and peaceful as well, love that you caught the person having a quiet moment.

Ahhhh, deep in contemplation among the greenery of spring. I can almost smell the grass looking at this photo.

  7. Carole says:

The crisscross design cast by the sun and the trees is a great forefront. I can feel the warmth of this lovely spring day.

  8. Bernice says:

The contrast between the trees marching into the distance, and their intertwined shadows on the sunlit grass is admirable. And of course, that lady in red next to the center tree adds just the right punctuation of color.

  9. Joann says:

Love the bright light of the individual experiencing serenity and the pattern of the tree shadows behind him/her.

  10. Karen says:

I can smell the fresh spring sunshine as if I were sitting there in that red jacket

Thank you all for your comments. It was a beautiful spring day at the Brooklyn Botanical Garden and I could have posted a hundred wonderful photos to the blog. But what I thought people would comment about they didn’t – the title of the photo. Borrowed from a classic Seinfeld episode. The garden truly brought me Serenity Now!
