Beautiful! Softly textured pastels – fit for a newborn ; )
I love this location and I love this shot! The streaks in the sky remind me of a watercolor and the historic building really makes the scene timeless.
What a serene shot, Ellen! I love the ripples flowing toward the buildings in the distance and then feel the soft clouds flowing back out at me.
What a peaceful scene–it makes me want to take a deep breath and relax.
Is it summer yet?
The ripples in the sand contrast nicely with the sprays of clouds in the sky. It is such a pure and pristine setting, even in winter.
A promise of summer! We are having spring in northern VA, but have not had winter!
Although this looks like the promise of spring, it was actually a bitter cold day, with very gusty winds. But the sky was that crystal clear blue with white wind-swept clouds that photographers dream of (at least I do!).
