This one is for me, the butterfly lover. Beautifully captured grace of the butterfly. But not a monarch. It’s a tiger swallowtail, I believe.
I had no idea. A gift for you today 🙂
What a clear closeup shot! The butterfly’s face is even visible! Clearly, beauty attracts beauty!
Beautiful!
Ellen captures a butterfly without a net! I love the delicate antennae in this perfect image. Peaceful in its own way.
Ah,the beauty of nature,for sure (and,Joann is right, it’s a yellow swallowtail).
Lovely photograph so different from many others done by Ellen.
WOW! What an amazingly gorgeous shot! Reminds me of some sort of an Audubon nature drawing.
I don’t know how you got that butterfly to pose for you, but you did a magnificent job of catching it feeding. The color contrasts and diagonal lines of the composition are wonderful.
Love the detail of the butterfly’s markings in this shot. Beautiful!
What magnificent vivid detail and color!
You captured a most welcomed visitor to your garden! She’s a beauty, and so is the butterfly bush! Thank you for sharing that with us, Ellen!
