Interesting! So stark and cold looking.

I really like the geometric elements of this one (the triangles and squares that compose the houses), and I also like how they slowly get brighter and more cast into the sunshine as your eyes move across the picture. Reminds me of those Phases of the Moon photographs. The branches frame it all beautifully.

What an interesting photo! The bare symmetry of the homes are like turrets of a castle. The gradual change in sunlight create a film clip effect, so much so, that the house furthest to the right actually did come alive with smoke through the smokestack!

This photo reminds me of the Malvina Reynolds song “Little Boxes.” I love that the sky is so much bigger than the houses–a comment on humankind vs. nature?

Very interesting photo, Ellen. The tiny (in perspective) houses remind me of my younger days playing Monopoly. I particularly like the leaning bare tree in the center.

Interesting shot. That comment doesn’t make me much different that your other responders. I like the play of the geometric shapes with the willowy tree branches.

I thought of Monopoly too! I don’t know where you shot this, but it’s a real winner. Castle turret looking tiny houses against a blue sky, framed by bare branches, moving from shadow to sunlight. Fabulous!

Such cute, little houses, so tidy and geometric. I love that you got the one tree that’s been tilted by nature, capturing the unruly nature of the elements, while the straight lines of the homes emphasize order and stability. Great shot!
