I so love this photo – the faceless woman and the statue almost mimic one another, and the beautiful pink tree somehow connects the two across the pond’s divide. Just beautiful.

A lovely study in curves – the pool edge, the bench, the woman, and the branches. Well done!

Beethoven’s Pastoral Symphony comes to mind – music, nature, and peace. I can almost see a flute in the real girl’s hands at this Natural Conservatory.

Such a calm and meditative image. I love the curves you’ve captured- it feels like I’m being hugged by the surrounding nature.

Such a peaceful and serene image, Ellen. Beautifully framed. Love the red flowers at the center!

    Thanks all.

Bevy, Conservatory Garden is in Central Park at 105th Street and Fifth Avenue. It’s easy to get to, has its own beautiful entrance gate on Fifth Ave, and is never crowded. Even most New Yorkers have never heard of it. There are three formal gardens – one French, an Italian one, and an English garden. Here’s a link:

It’s a hidden New York treasure!

This photo strikes me as projecting an air of sadness. The woman seems to be lost in her thoughts, waiting for someone who is never going to come. She somehow knows it but keeps on hoping as the statue looks on. You’ve really captured a mood here, even if it is all in my imagination.
