I really like the abstract feeling to this photo. I’ve said it before, and it holds true for this piece especially, but your work often has the impression of a painter creating a scene, rather than an image of real place and time. This image in particular seems timeless in that way. Very nice!
This is beautiful. I love how the construction of the bridge sandwiches the city, which is suddenly small.
Brooklyn.
You were either on a bridge or on a boat, but you look far far away. The strong structure defining your composition is very satisfying. Love the intense blue of the sky.
How about from the Hoboken, New Jersey waterfront?
“On a Clear Day, you can see Forever…….”
The 59th street bridge? Nice shot, as always.
I love the horizontal band (a railing? great use!) that divides the image and almost turns the city into it’s own separate piece. Such a simple idea and it transforms the whole photo! Well done.
Yes Jan, 59th Street bridge looking south. Hence the title, the 59th Street Bridge Song, “Feelin’ Groovy”!
Wonderful juxtaposition of the limitless sky and the miniaturized yet protected cityscape!
I really like the weight of the empty space on top of this image.
