This is simply awesome, Ellen. I love seeing you take on an abstract – is this sand? The shapes pressed into the ground are beautiful, something we might otherwise take for granted if not for your keen eye. Well done, as always.
What a great black and white shot, with so much detail! Maybe you were flying in a one-engine plane with Indiana Jones over the desert near Cairo? Where in the world is Ellen Goodman?
I love these new abstracts you’re posting! It really shows the dimension of your eye as a photographer and it helps shape the viewers’ understanding of what photography can do. Great texture, great shot- really makes the mind think about what it is/what it means. Thanks, Ellen!
I’m a wanna be abstract painter and I love this!

It wouldn’t be a close up of the left over chocolate pudding from Thanksgiving by any chance? Great texture!

Patterns on the beach? The sand looks like an abstract bas relief sculpture with rhythms formed by the winds and the weather. Complex and compelling!
Lovely pattern. Can’t begin to guess but what movement and texture.
“Black & white abstract” is absolutely INCREDIBLE!!! It’s right up there with the guy under the shopping cart for my First & Second Place trophy
