A dreamy winter carriage ride with a soft background. All pastel and gentle with the one exception of the royal purple trim as if you added it in with a felt marker afterwards just for effect! Lovely!

Love the action of the horse straining to get up the snowy hill! Really feel the motion, and the pop of colors against the white snow.

I love this one! Almost an unnatural juxtaposition of the open carriage and the heaps of snow. A perfectly-captured New York moment.

This looks like something from a fairy tale, carriage and castle and snow. It makes winter look almost inviting and cheery. Ha!

I took some beautiful black and white shots of horse drawn carriages in the park that looked like they were taken a hundred years ago. But I thought we all needed a boost of color in this endless season of white and gray!

I am reminded of Time and Again by Jack Finney, a magical and quintessential New York fantasy. A very evocative image.

Yes, my favorite book, and being in Central Park right after the big snow made me feel as if I was a character in it. The park is timeless in the snow.

    What a fascinating shot!

I’m mesmerized by the movement in this photo, as the carriage perfectly glides over the snow bank. Its separation from the background makes me feel as if it’s a painting, capturing a wintery moment in New York. This background, combined with that hint of purple really make this carriage stand out in the camouflage surrounding it.

    Great one, Ellen!

Is this an homage to Steiglitz or what!? Gorgeous photograph. Captures the romanticism and the struggles of being a New Yorker in winter. This is one of my favorites without a doubt!
