Ah, NYC-light in the darkness.
Great photo, Ellen! Even in the dark, you make the spires of St. Patrick’s Cathedral shine. A wonderful perspective of old and newer architecture at night.
I am obsessed with this pic! The vertical lines, the old superimposed atop the new, a perfect Ellen shot. Well done!
NYC: A celebration of different worlds, architectures, peoples all together in one place at one time – all the more enjoyable!
Magnificent!
You’ve captured the essence of NYC – the lights of modern commercial skyscrapers as background for the holy spires of a Gothic Cathedral. In addition, the photograph is gorgeous!
This shot captures the heart of New York, Ellen. What a great combination of the new and old architecture, the lights of the nighttime bustle and whew- that depth of field is something! It’s rich with angles that my eye is eating up.
Great job!
As bright as if it were day, but with the intrigue of night… Magnificent spires standing at attention while the rest of the City is busy all aglow with hustle and bustle.
This is the money shot, Ellen. Great composition, color, contrast & symmetry. Awesome photo!
Beautiful lighting! Makes me feel as though I am looking at a model of NYC rather than the usual gritty, grey details of skylines I’m used to. Also, love the juxtaposition of the warm architecture of the church in front of the colder, static architecture behind it. Nice shot!
I love how you have the ability to see the structure in things. The subject morphs from everyday reality to a geometric fantasia. This is one of my favorites that you’ve taken.
