As someone who lives by the ocean, I can say that you have not just captured the scene, but you have magically captured the mood, the atmosphere, the sound and the smells. This is a wonderful image.

Wonderful scenic photograph of a boat dock.
The setting sky with its pastel colors reflecting in the rippled water punctuated by the rich colors of the endcaps of the pilings and the boats and their contents as well as the Bait Tackle sign on the tiny house in the shape of a fish and the bright red ice sign. The photo is so beautiful in its perfection it can be mistaken for a painting.

So many wonderful visual elements here, Ellen! The photograph makes me want to step onto that dock and take a boat out on the still water. Truly captivating image. Well done!

So peaceful. The boats really stand out against the water and sky.

The first thing that struck me was the sense of vast distance produced by contrasting the detail and size of items in the foreground with the horizon line in the background. Many typical dock scenes have much less depth. Leave it to you to develop a unique point of view.
