This is such a fun photo! That’s got to be Minnie. Is she a balloon – is this from the Macy’s parade?! Love this so much! And how cool it must’ve been to see this in person. Thanks for sharing with us!
How colorful and iconic all at once, Ellen! Absolutely Minnie getting ready for the parade. Not too often that we get so close and personal, so well done!
I love this!! The balloons at the Macys parade were always one of my favorite parts of Thanksgiving. How wonderful to see a familiar sight in a new way. I love seeing them waiting to make their big trip!
Just like someone can recognize a musical piece by one or a few notes; Minnie can be recognized by a small amount of her classic outfit visible.
The colors make a stunning photograph. It’s amazing how you are able to capture a great shot in a partial view.
When I first glanced at the image it reminded me of a Lady Bug – but I realized immediately afterwards it was the Thanksgiving Parade balloon of Minnie Mouse. Great idea to focus on a detail rather than the entire balloon. Happy Holidays.
I recognized this image right away–though when I first started watching cartoons they were in black and white! A great catch from a great parade! Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family.
Minnie is topsy-turvy, but unmistakable! Ellen, I love the puzzles and challenges your photography often presents us with. To me, this represents your signature style and genius.

What an interesting and complicated photo! Without Simone’s context, I’d be lost.

Thanks Jacqueline. Yes, it was good to all be together. Hope you had a good holiday!
Great angle!
Looks like Minnie is a little tipsy. Very whimsical and recognizable!
