Also so glad you ran for your camera so you can share this wonderful snapshot with us. Your photograph with its stunning colors of the sunset peeking through the black shadows of the buildings gives one a feeling of mystery and intrigue. One tends to wonder what else lurks beyond. Great capture.
Love this photo!
Even if it isn’t Manhattanhenge
On an otherwise dark street in Manhattan
It’s lit up like a beautiful strip of satin!!
WOW WOW WOW, this is an amazing photo! The layers, the reflection against the building. Who needs Manhattanhenge when you have this?
At first glance it looks like an abstract painting, color blocks and some unexpected stripes. Fabulous framing, an Ellen Goodman signature.
If I hadn’t known the subject of this photo, I would have thought it was a painting rather than the fiery ribbons of the sun.

On first view, I also thought this looks like an abstract painting. I’ve never seen a photo like this–you have quite some eye!
Beautiful!!!
What a powerful photo, Ellen! The dark vertical geometry coupled with the fire clouds creates an amazing image. Well done!
Another of your fantastic abstract style photos. They are my favorites.
