Amazing how you were there at the absolute right time to catch that rainbow. If only you could have found the pot of gold as well; or maybe you did! The photo is lovely. I almost think I can hear the rush of water of the falls.
This photo is a puzzle for the brain. It almost seems as though the rainbow is the source of color for the top half of the picture. Below the rainbow, the rocks and water have been drained of color. Is that a natural phenomenon caused by the mist from the water below filtering out the wavelengths of color or was there some other mechanism? Is the contrast of color/no color just a visual experiment or did you want to express a specific mood or idea with it? The effect is intriguing in any case.
Love this photo and it’s perfect for today!
This is awesome! Beautiful shot, love the movement of the water – and of course the rainbow.
What a cool photograph,Ellen!I can feel the motion of the water as it sprays outward to catch the sunlight and create the rainbow. Well done!

Everything but the pot of gold!
Of all the rainbow colors, I see the green!
It’s right in between
The red and the blue
And undoubtedly over
Many a four leaf clover!
Happy St. Patty’s Day!
Love this shot with the rainbow between the falls!
Lovely! “Why are there so many songs about rainbows and what’s on the other side…”
Somewhere over the rainbow… perfect, hopeful shot.
“Rainbows have a way of making the world seem right.” (Anthony T. Hincks). Everything is right about this photo!
