Nice perspective shot! Little birdie is saying, “Little Lady, you facinate me so”. “Take 2 little steps forward and I’ll have a perfect target on your lens”. Couldn’t resist.
I see this as an homage to the beginning of spring. Birds return, and trees begin to bud. Great shot getting up close and personal with your little birdie, Ellen!
I love the monocromatic tone of the entire shot. Nicely done – love it!!
The little bird is quite camouflaged among the beautiful tiled roof and Japanese looking branches. Well done!
Very subtle. I agree with Rob: nice monochromatic tone.
Nice composition and detail. Amazing that you were able to get the texture on the branches. It so embodies spring with the buds just peeking through the branch.
The tiles look like a hundred little birdies, all in a row;
One flew the coup, to watch the garden grow……
Great textures and shapes in this shot! Well done as always 🙂
Thanks everyone. I love the way the bird is camouflaged in the rich textures of the roof. And while at the Cloisters for a shoot, I was amazed at how much birdsong was in the air. This was as close as I could come to capturing that feeling of spring finally arriving. And the quote, of course, is from A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving – a family favorite!
Such a wonderful study in texture and line, and fun to find the little birdie in it all.
