You present us with both the boldness and the absence of color in this photo, and it amazes me how you capture it all with such clarity, in every detail, even the shadow, the blades of grass, and the feathers!
What an awesome catch, Ellen! I think this bird posed just for you. :o) Pure white feathers against the blue water is striking, and oh, that amazing orange beak! Well done, yet again!
WOW! This is such an amazing and personal photo of this little guy! So graceful and elegant. Amazing that you were able to capture a whole bird personality! Love it and well done.
It’s the shape that does it for me – I love the angularity. The curve of the bill almost perfectly parallels the curve of the body, with just a hint of the bill’s shadow visible! And I also love the Ibis, white against a solid blue background, with a slash of green below. As they say in Maine, Cunning!
This is an absolutely perfect photograph of a White Ibis right down to its shadow. The beautiful blue of the water and grass highlight the snowy white of its feathers and pink of its beak and legs. It is a wonderful photographic catch.
Love an Ellen vacation snap!
