Looking at your photo, a song popped into my head…
“Just remember in the winter
Far beneath the bitter snows
Lies the seed that with the sun’s love
In the spring becomes the rose”
I love the geometry of this photo, Ellen. The angular shoreline, distant level horizon and rectangular sky plain all play a part in making this this image both serene and complex. Well done!
So peaceful and quiet
Each branch lined with lace
The fallen branch is also calm.
It’s fall long forgotten
As its snow lined branches rest in place….
Good one Bevy! Thanks for the poetry you add to my photography.
Very nicely balanced and composed. The stark b/w contrasts work very well.
I agree with Thom–this photo is perfectly balanced: the lines of the horizon and shoreline, the intricacy of the tree branches. Lovely!

Beautiful photo and love the changing exhibition! I think Flag in the Snow and Snowflakes on Lashes are my favorite. Thanks for taking us on a hike!
Your new Changing Exhibition photos are all beautiful. Bridge In The Snow, Flag in the Snow, and Shoots in the Snow are my three favorites.
